Dancehall Artist Shane-O Sparks A “Controversy”
Shane-O, born Roshain McDonald, has made a name for himself with songs like “Lightning Flash”, “Better Must Come”, and has been writing hits for some of Dancehall’s Icons. Shane-O is now focusing on putting major work into his own career by working with top Dancehall Producers like Ras Blinga, Snowcone, Friends For Real, and Truck Back Records to launch new tracks. Among his new releases include “Don’t Worry Mama” on the “New Beat Riddim”, and “Election Time” which were both produced by Ras Blinga Records. His recently released track titled “Controversy” was produced by ZJ Bruce Lee of Kick Dem Records, has some people feeling some type of way as the lyrical content includes calling out familiar names in Dancehall, and highlighting incidents like the Corey Todd/Devin The Dakta rift, I-Octane’s run in with Sizzla for alleged disrespect of H.I.M. Haile Selassie, and even recalls Foxy Brown and former Mentor Spragga Benz’s relationship. While “Election Time” is receiving lots of airplay on Irie Fm, Zip 103 FM, and Hot 102 FM, his recent videos for “Don’t Worry Mama” and “Controversy” are ensuring that 2017 is looking good for the Artist.
